Try and stop the Mammoth

My Wine Caps were added to a woodchip bed in the middle of Oct and now first week Nov they have begun to spread. The bag that was sent was a perfect saturation, very fresh, and ready to go. Thanks!

Wine cap spawn

The wine cap spawn was excellent! Just a few days after putting it on wood chips the mycelium spread rapidly. I can’t wait to see how they fruit.

wine cap tidal wave

Planted my bag of sawdust spawn last late spring and now its REALLY producing! I wasn't sure about my wood chips since they were questionable on freshness. To be sure I threw some nice clean straw and some hardwood pellets on the bed also. These are nice meaty heavy mushrooms and of course are quite yummy! Fungi Ally is a great resource for product and EDUCATION!

I must wait until I find oak wood chips fresh from a tree trimmer.

I have placed the Wine Cap Mammoth Spawn in my refrigerator, until such time as I can source hardwood chip such as Quercus suber, or another oak species. Down here in So Cal we do not have a lot of hardwood chip being created by tree trimmers...
