March 1st snowy workshop!
Fungi Ally had a great turn out for our first workshop this spring series! In preperation we had to dig out some snow, drop some trees, build a big fire, and brew some chaga tea to try and keep everyone warm and smiling. It may have been a bit early this year but we were excited to still have 12 people come out and learn about fungi. We got to discuss and implement a woodchip bed, totems, and drilled some logs.
We had a diverse group of people with different backgrounds and varying levels of experience with mushrooms. I had a lot of fun talking with everyone and hearing the different relationships people have built with fungi. At the end of the workshop hearing about the potential projects and opportunities people have to use fungi in their landscape was inspiring. We hope to share some of those projects through the website later in the year!
If you missed this workshop there are plenty more this year. Workshops are starting to fill up so make sure to call and reserve your spot!
