We will be hosting a series of workshops this spring which are sure to be a great time! We will be visiting several different farms to share the techniques and methods of growing mushrooms we use. The workshops will discuss methods of growing both inside and outside and will cover a range of materials that can be used for mushroom cultivation.
Several of the workshops will focus on growing mushrooms on wood, an abundant source for us in the Northeast. The workshops will cover different species of wood used, the different forms of wood used, and how to properly inoculate and care for the fungi!
The other workshops will focus on growing mushrooms primarily indoors on paper and straw. These will include fun easy ways to grow mushrooms with NO special lab equipment or supplies on phone books and toilet paper rolls. These workshops will focus on low tech ways to cultivate mushrooms on straw using bags or buckets as containers.

Participants of all the workshops will take home an inoculated log or bag of straw and be able to buy spawn at a discounted rate.
